I never understood why we could'nt celebrate the birthday of our children. That was the happiest day of my life and I can't see a darn thing wrong with acknowledging it. Also many of the dates were so confusing. There was so much that just did'nt make sense. Why can children be baptised? They are to young for such a drastic decision. The teaching of the ressurection? I'm not so sure there will be one. It's to confusing. I hated the disfellowshipping arrangement. I think that just keeps people in fear and that's not true love for God. A person should'nt do what is right because of fear of disfellowshipping. I could'nt stomach the thought of passing by a df person and not speaking. How hypocritical!!!!!I I personally know of those that have committed major wrongs and are still "in" the cong. It all sucks!!!

I want to add that I am royally pissed off at not being able to get a decent education because of the WITNESSES!!!!! Because of it my kids were never able to have any fun at school or holidays. I'm sick of cleaning toilets because if the crap of not educating myself for anything else. Thanks for listening. I did'nt realise just how mad I am!

I just read your post and agree with you that life is so much better now. I have been fading for a few months now and feel so much better. No longer live in fear. No longer feel guilty about being "friends" with "worldly people". In fact I've found out that people outside the org. are much nicer than some of those on the inside. I'm still having a hard time getting my mother to accept my decision but other than that I feel fantastic and am going to enjoy each day anew!!!

Why do many JWs neglect their health conditions?
by navytownroger inmy former bible study conductor has heart problems and very high blood pressure, but doesn't seem concerned about it.
another witness i knew had heart problems but never went to doctors, & eventually dropped dead suddenly.
given that cigarette smoking is a disfellowshipping offense, why aren't jws reprimanded when they otherwise neglect & jeopardize their health?

I think that one reason is because they still say the end is so close that before a health condtion gets beyond repair the "NEW SYSTEM" will be here so why bother.I think that that line of thought has prevented JW'S from doing many things they deep down want to do and that's a crime in itself. I know it happened to me but I'm making gradual changes to right that wrong.

I've discovered that Mr.Flipper is so right about being forgotten when walk out the KH door. I've been out for a few months now and my supposed to be best friend has yet to ask me what's wrong .Maybe deep down she's jealous about the fact that I had the nerve to get out. That poor man should have been looked after by the "friends" way beofre he was. What a crock of bull.

Dogs on the bed yes no?

my boys are allowed on the bed all day but at night we say "down to the crate" the crate happens to be a very expensive leather couch with many pillows.. they listen to what ever we say, but the human bed seems to be the best place.. i change the sheets every other day.....can't stand the itchy, scrachties!.

My Dad Told Me I'll Never Retire...But I Should Still Have a 401k
by B_Deserter inhe was telling me that by 2020, none of "this" (the weeeerld) is going to be here, but it's still a good idea to have a 401(k) because you can use it for other things, like a down payment on a house or something.
then he started talking about how he never thought he would retire, and now he's faced with it.

If he's so sure that you won't retire then why in the hell do you need to buy a house? None of the crap makes any since. Sorry for putting it that way but it's just so darn irritating to know that they are still doing the same old song and dance.That's the reason right now there are so many Witnesses who barely make enough money to live on, much less retire. What is the education rate in JW?

% in australia, in 1995. if i read it rigth :).

I'm new here to the forum, but I believe the education rate is low. It was drilled into us at a very young age to put Kingdom interests first, hence no higher education. Which sucks now.
